Oklahoma Portrait Photographer: Car Lovers

Over the years, I’ve had a lot of requests from my clients to include “things” in their portraits; pets, guitars, shoe collections, hats, sports equipment, and more . . . but no one “thing” is more popular than cars!  It doesn’t matter if it is a boy or a girl, when a person loves their car, they love showing it off. Here are a few of my favorites from last year.

Oklahoma Portrait Photographer: 2011 in Portraits

It was very difficult to choose, but here are some of my favorite photos from my clients in 2011 . . . I love my clients, and even as I’m uploading these photos, I’m thinking of others that I would like to include . . . so I can’t say these are my very favorite photos from the year, but they are definitely among my absolute favorites from 2011.

January 2011

January
This baby girl was so much fun to photograph. This was the first time I’d used a cocoon, and it is absolutely one of my favorite photos.

February 2011

February
I took photos of these adorable twins at the Oklahoma City Zoo.

March 2011

March 2011
This sweet couple, also photographed at the zoo, was getting ready to adopt a baby, and we did these photos for their adoption paperwork. I love this moment between them!

April

April

This gorgeous family was particularly fun to photograph. These photos were taken in Bricktown. I love their sweet baby’s expression in this photo.

May 2011

May

This was a completely spontaneous gesture, and I’m so glad I captured it!

June

Sarah is an actress who wanted some new, sultry, photos for her portfolio. She is so gorgeous, and I love the way this photo is sexy, yet innocent, at the same time.

July

Mikayla came to me for her Senior photos. I love this photo – her girly dress, barefoot, on the wood bridge. I especially love the way all the colors pop!

August

August

This is a mother and daughter, obviously they are non-tradition in their life, and they wanted non-traditional portraits. I think it is a beautiful portrait of two gorgeous women!

September

Another barefoot shot! At home in her gorgeous nursery, I adore this shot of this beautiful mom and her three month old daughter.

October

October

Doesn’t this melt your heart. I love a newborn in their daddy’s hands. The honesty of this father’s eyes in the portrait make it very special.

November 2011

November

Photos like this are the reason why I love doing Senior photos outdoors in Fall! The intense colors, and coupled with the still water pond and reflection . .. not to mention the gorgeous young woman . . . what’s not to love?

December 2011

December

I have never done a newborn portrait quite like this one, but I love it. Newborns aren’t easy to photograph with their eyes open because their eye color and pupil color tends to be very close, so their eyes don’t appear focused. I love that, in this photo, he appears to be looking directly into the camera!

Happy New Year!

I love my clients, and I hope that this year, if you haven’t worked with me in the past, you join my client family as well!

Oklahoma Portrait Photographer: At Home with Photos

I love it when a client asks me to do photos in their home, especially for family photos. The reason I love this, is because some day you will move on, and your kids will be able to look back and see the family as you were in that setting. It is more than a photo, it is a time capsule for the future. Here are a few of my favorites from 2011!

This is one of my favorite photos from this year! I think the client looks like a model in her daughter’s beautiful nursery, and the bare feet make it even better!

This photo was part of a series we did for this little boy’s second birthday. His parents had me come over and spend a typical Saturday with them. I photographed them playing together, reading, singing, racing across the driveway, and more. It was an awesome record of his life at that stage, and such a smart idea on the part of his parents!

I loved doing these maternity photos. While we did a few indoors, we shot the majority at home. When their son was born, we went back and shot him in some of the places we shot mama the month before.

I love this photo of mama and papa waiting patiently in the nursery!

Here is one last photo . . . with the complete family.

Doing photos in the home can be a bit more work, we have to bring in lights, and sometimes move things around a bit, but it can be worth it for the moments we catch, and the memories you are creating for your children!

Happy New Year!

Oklahoma Newborn Photographer: Baby Wade

This adorable baby was three weeks old by the time we took his photos, but wow, he was really active! I think he slept about thirty minutes out of the five hours or so I was with him at his parent’s house. Check him out holding up his head and looking around!

Here are a few of my favorites from the session:

Daddy is a fireman!
