AWARD-WINNING ARTIST & AUTHOR TERA LEIGH SIGNS PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
DEAL WITH RANGER INDUSTRIES, INC.

Award-winning Californian artist, Tera Leigh, has just signed a product development deal with Ranger Industries, Inc. of Trenton, New Jersey. The first collaboration between the parties will be a product line based upon the “Faux Mosaics™” technique developed by Ms. Leigh. The product line will be supported by a book published by North Light Books (an imprint of F & W Publications) released simultaneously in 2004.

“Faux Mosaics” is a paper technique that utilizes paper, textured grout, and dimensional glaze to create a simulated mosaic look. The technique is perfect for those who are nervous about working with glass or tile, do not want the mess of working with traditional mosaics, or those wanting to practice mosaic layout techniques without the expense of mosaic products. Ms. Leigh demonstrated the technique on the “It’s Christopher Loweall” show on the Discovery Network in an episode that aired in June 2003 and will continue to air in repeats. Variations of the technique have also been published by Tole World and Decorative Artist’s Workbook magazines.

Tera is the author of The Complete Book of Decorative Painting, which the American Library Association has called “A bible for novices and experienced painters” and named it to it’s “Top Ten Craft/Hobby Books of 2002” list. The book also won the prestigious 2003 Crafts/Craftrends Award of Excellence. She is represented by the Rita Rosenkranz Literary Agency of New York City. Tera is also a columnist for Paintworks, CNA, Create & Decorate, Quick & Easy Painting, and Tole World magazines, and has had her original designs published in painting and home décor magazines since 1998.
