Meet Tera: Career

I have been writing, painting, taking photographs, and documenting my life through art journals most of my adult life. My professional and educational background is as an attorney in California. I have a J.D. from Western State University in Fullerton, California.  Since that time I have run an internet marketing firm, taught New Media marketing for UCLA and Cal State Long Beach Extension programs, and worked as a business and marketing consultant to businesses around the world. In 1999, I signed my first book deal, co-licensed a product line, and began to write for magazines.

North Light Books published my first three books, and I have been blessed to contribute to a dozen more. In addition, I have developed product lines, and written for magazines about travel, art, women’s issues, and living a creative life. I have  published over 200 articles, and 70 projects, in dozens of magazines, been a guest on national and local Network television, and cable programs such as HSN, Christopher Lowell, DIY network, and more. Photography has been a big part of my life for over twenty years, and I have recently expanded my business, concentrating more of my time on portraiture.
